And Pretty Maids All in a Row


This line from the nursery rhyme Mary, Mary, Quite Contrary came to mind when I saw my gorgeous chicks lined up in a row sleeping. I searched the Internet to make sure that I got the correct phrasing and quickly changed my mind about the appropriateness of this description. As it turns out, there is a bloody story behind this innocent sounding childhood rhyme.
